All About Carole!

I Like to Improvise with various Items I already have on hand.

I have been a Doll Artists dating back to the mid 70's... So I guess I am now also Considered a Pioneer of the Doll Industry!

I first became Interested at the Age of 10 when I cut my "My Poor Fathers" Socks to make a "Turtle Neck for my Barbie Dolls"...I also "Dissected my Dolls, especially” Shirley Temple" would you Believe? I actually Cut all those "Beautiful Banana Curls right off"...My Main reason is that I wanted to see how she would look when I first combed through it and then I just cut all those Curls off! I also did it to my Barbie because didn’t like her Pony Tail, when I took it down, she was Bold! I also placed her in the Oven too & Operated on them as well! I would take a Magic Marker & make Stitches after she was Operated on! My Child hood friend, Barbara Arel was so Afraid I would do the same to her Dolls! She would hide them from me! I was so Envious of her Dolls; they were always Bigger & Better! Her Grandmother always bought her the Best! I realized because I had 3 Sisters I understood my Parents could not afford to spend that much just on me! I’ll admit I was a "Tom Boy" but I still liked Dolls too...I have since Repented and I am now the Creator of Carole's Doll Doings & More... I would also like to commend my Beloved Father, Conrad Nadeau, the Upholsterer and my Grandmother Ella Nadeau who was an expert Seam\stress & Tailor...They have Instilled these Trades upon me...I had my Pick of any Fabric I wanted...When I was in High School, I took an Economic Class and made a Beautiful Reversible Coat using my Father’s Fabric: Fur on one side & Tapestry on the other Side. I Loved that Coat! I received so, many Compliments & let a lot of my Friends Borrow it and who knows what happened to it to this Day! If I still had it, I’d wear it! I now Recycle my Dolls using various Methods & Medias.

I recently Entered Three Life Size Scarecrows and was just informed I Won Two out of three! You can view them on my FB Page & I will be Posting Better Photos using my Digital Camera! Thank you for your time and Interest in Carole's Doll Doings & More...
